Link to Life has been set up since 2002 by a small group of ladies including cancer survivors. The association is a non profit organisation whose main purpose is to provide support and counseling to cancer patients and their families. It has been duly registered with the Registry of Associations in November 2003 and is a member of MACOSS.

What is cancer?
Cancer arises from the abnormal and uncontrolled division of cells, known as cancer cells that then invade and destroy the surrounding tissues. Growth of cancer cells leads, generally, to formation of a nodule or tumour. One of the biggest problems with cancer is its spread in different parts of the body; this is called metastasis. The most common forms of treatment are surgery, radiation therapy or chemo therapy.
