Link to Life – Who We are

Link to Life has been set up since 2002 by a small group of ladies including cancer survivors. The association is a non profit organisation whose main purpose is to provide support and counselling to cancer patients and their families. It has been duly registered with the Registry of Associations in November 2003 and is a member of MACOSS.

Achievements:

• Office building project approved in the year 2006

• Transport project for cancer patients from the vulnerable group approved by DCP in the year 2007.
• Government recognised Link to Life support activities for cancer patients and approved an annual grant of Rs.500, 000 from 2008, 2009 onwards.

• Donation by Link to Life of 60  bed side tables to RT Ward of  Victoria Hospital on Wednesday 22^nd October 2008

• Joint participation with the Rotary Club of Vacoas for the upgrading activities at the reception room of the Radio Therapy reception hall. This project costing Rs.1 million is under implementation .Link to Life will contribute Rs200,000 for this project.

• Transport services for the vulnerable group and Operational budget project financed by MCB during 2008, 2009 and 2010.

• Prosthesis project approved by DCP in the year 2008/2009

• Wig project approved by NGO Trust Fund in the year 2009.

• We have made donation of wheelchairs to the Outpatient Department of Radio Therapy Unit, Victoria Hospital, Candos, for the exclusive use by cancer patients undergoing treatment in December 2007 and February 2010.
